Who I am

I’m Mandy Dwight, founder and CEO of Dwight and Company, a boutique sales and marketing agency specializing in supporting automation and robotics companies, and now podcast host of this program, ROS Goss.

I never intended to start this company, let alone this podcast - but more on that in a bit.

This is Catherine O’Connor, one of my colleagues who will be behind the scenes producing the podcast. You may already know and have collaborated with Catherine as one of our marketing gurus here at Dwight Co.

Catherine had the idea that we should sit down with you to let you know a little bit about why we are doing this podcast. So this is the who, what, where, when, why of it all.

I’ve been in the robotics industry for more years than I care to admit. I’m a sales and marketing startup veteran, having worked at some of the most well known and innovative robotics companies across the globe. Some of them still exist and are thriving. Some don’t.

My career origin story is non-conventional. My first sales job was actually selling robotics to educational settings- universities, commercial R&D labs and even K-12 classrooms. A little known fact about me is that I started my career as an English Language Arts teacher at a high school and found very quickly that teaching to many different levels meant incorporating interdisciplinary technologies, one of which was robotics in a comprehensive STEAM program. After many years, I took the leap into sales and marketing, vowing to take the approach of building relationships and educating end users to excel in sales.

My career has had some pivots and I feel good about that because I’ve been able to learn a lot along the way.
